Is there any way to download movies legally free and free of spyware etc? I saw a site that apparently charges a monthly fee and then you can download umlimited movies, would that be legal

I would want to burn to dvd to watch on dvd player tv,mpore comfortable than sitting at pc. Incidentally, i also saw site to watch movie free onlin. Is that legal. Thanks

There's alot of older movies that are in the public domain and free to download. I know you can download Night of the Living Dead for free as it's in the public domain, a few others too. http://www.archive.org/index.php that website there has alot of public domain/copyright free stuff.

As for subscription based downloads I'm not up to speed on it. If it's similar to netflix I say go for it, alot of people love that service.

God it's so nice to see a little honesty in the world of movies online. Its like looking at an alternate version of me :D!!

I wouldn't be quick to say that its legal just because you have to pay, Look at the likes of Limewire Pro or the torrent trackers that charge.

My guess would be that if it was Legal they would Make huge deal about it since they would be paying a **** load and it would be there USP to Ilegal Sites.

These moves in the public domain that you guys are on about. Would it be illegal to screen them and charge for money? We're doing a fundraiser at the moment and that was one idea, the only reason we didn't go for it was cuz it's illegal. But what about those ones you mentioned, like Night of the Living Dead?

Ask in the Legal form Mate but AFAIK if there is no copyright you can pretty much do what you want with it.

Technically there is always a copyright attached to any work created, what applies is whether or not the creator or copyright owner releases the copyright or licenses it to allow more that the copyright law states.

I'm trying to find that out too. I know that for music, the Irish Recorded Music Artists Association have a list of legal downloadable music providers. Is there a list for films?
