    just wondering if anyone can help?I have a dell dimension pc vista home basic and last week installed a service pack .Since then it blue screens after 15 mins while connected to net. help?

    Does it happen if you are not connected to net?

    It is also possible to uninstall the service pack if you need to. It could be that the driver for your ethernet/wireless card needs to be updated.

    seems to work ok while not conected to net ,shows up problem with adobe photoshop?dont know if its a conflict or what ?dell help said optical drive was gone.:confused:

    That's the most confusing post I've read today :)

    Why did Dell it was the Optical Drive? How did they arrive at this conclusion?


    So, you turn it on and don't connect to the 'net and after 15 minutes it's still working.

    Could you please switch it on, not connect to the 'net for 20 minutes or so and then connect to the 'net to see if it dies after 15 minutes?

    While it probably isn't anything malware/virus connected it's always good to just rule them out just in case.

    Hi Ponster,just about to try that and see what happens.when it restarts it shows a problem with c:/windows minidump,then gives me a file no and i found that no in adobe photoshop.:confused:
