Register for their newsletter which is sent out on Thursdays and apparently you will get a LBP key.

Probably for an open beta or some such. Rumours abound online.

Anyway, nothing to lose. Sign up and see.

Do however use the verification code to activate your account and then change your preferences in CPANEL as you are not automatically signed up for the newsletter.

some lad gave me a beta code on GT but I dont have my ps3 now so dont know if it will work or not...need to get it off brother...it probably a fake one though

No idea what time the newsletter is out but considering it's a US based site I would reckon between 6pm our time and midnight.....

That would be at odds with them saying "sign up and get your code in the next newsletter".

Level 2??? We'll see in a while I guess.

However, considering LBP is gone Gold, i.e. no longer in beta, this kind of thing will just increase the hype ahead of the October 22-24 release date.

Next up should be a mass test of the servers, so I can see a load of keys being dished out over the next week or so.

Official Release Dates - USA is 22nd, EU is 23rd & UK/IRL is 24th

Newsletter is out.

Apparently all you need to do is PM sackboybetaman on the GT forums.

The server is clearly being severely hammered at the minute so I don't know if it's worth the effort just yet.

The whole Gametrailers thing was a joke. I spent 3-4 hours on and off trying to PM that sackboybetaman without success. Page just wouldn't load. Eventually got a PM through but didn't get a reply.

Bit of a scam IMHO.

Haven't had any better luck with the PS Blog email thing either. Couldn't be ar5ed now anyway.

There was a website up yesterday where you could sign up for it. It's down now though, so I'm guessing they're no longer taking applications. Looks like you missed the boat on this one too.
