Teach yourself and buy acad in easy steps. Very good for basics of acad.

FAS usually run 10 week evening courses.
Fairly basic City & Guilds course. Certificate at end of it. Usually only 2 hours per night, once a week, so should be managable. Reasonable fee.

Its basic but will teach you all you need to get started. Draw line, offset, hatch, text, scale, stretch, view, zoom, print etc - Plan, section, elevations. I believe you can follow on the course to more difficult levels.

A lot of VEC run night courses also.
