    I have shares in Irish Life & Permanent. Do you think if there's a deal they could go up this week?

    why didnt you just bump the last thread you started on this exact same topic?

    And what sort of deal are you hoping for? A merger or this government bail out deal to be passed?

    I actually dont know about IL&P as a company but I would assume that if the government bail out is passed then that should restore some confidence to the Irish banking sector and financials would go up across the board. Dont think though that it will suddenly make a bad stock good(not talking specifically about IL&P here)the underlying problems will still be there
