I sincerely hope everything was alright.

It's fairly common to see people collapsing in the city, panic attacks/epilepsy and yes, drink. With any luck this was one of those, and nothing more serious(actually, epilepsy can be serious, but you get what I mean).

she sorta looked stoned and very pale. was funny cos all the college paid no attention just kept on being freshers lol.. gotta love that place

She was not stoned, she was not drunk, she was having some kinda fit. The reason the rest of college paid no attention to the girl is because decent people don't gawk at others in destress.

Well done to trinity security for help here and also to who ever knew to put her in the recovery position.

I helped out with the first aid.. which was difficult to do... constantly being forced away by security..

She had an epeleptic fit while beside one of the stands. She went unconscious as a result (which is not unusual) so an ambulance was called.

She began to come around as the ambulance arrived, but was quite dazed.
I left and let the ambulance personel look after her.

She would have looked quite pale and 'stoned' or 'drunk' as a rusult of the seizure.

As a side note, I was quite shocked at the level of first aid/conficence in using first aid of the Security Personel.
I was ushered away being mistaken for a bystander, untill I managed to say I am a member of the Irish Red Cross and quite proficient in first aid.
I was then ushered in to help.
Security seemed to stand back and let myself and two other students look after her (as much as you can with someone who is unconcious after a seizure)

Glad to hear she was alright in the end.
Unfortunately when it comes to fits like this, it can often depend on who happens to be around you- not everyone knows what to do. A few years back a friend of mine had an epileptic fit walking home with us from school, we were lucky the vice-principal knew what to do, as (and I have no problem saying so) we certainly hadn't a clue.

    What are you on about?

I'm not entirely sure who's joking in this thread, or what's funny about epileptic fits, so I'm guessing that decdec456 has taken issue with me over a separate issue in a thread on the LC board.

You'd be well within your rights to ban/ infraction someone for persisting with an argument from another thread in another forum. Be the iron hand in the velvet glove.

I think it's sort of nice that in such a big university, people care about the wellbeing of strangers.

That or they love drama like this.

All credit to those who assisted, but I think this is enough discussion about the topic.
