SKY + Problem

    Recorded the Apprentice on Sky + last week and when went to playback it showed up but would not play, the 2 corries and MNS both taped and played back no prob, put it down to a one off glitch, but when the same thing happened last night I am beginning to wonder, The Second Corrie and MNS tape at the same time is this confusing the system?

    That happened a couple of times on my system as well. Don't know what caused it tho.

    check the cables in the back of your box and any joints you can see

    if all looks ok do a software download
    these things a great solves most problems



    hold the back up button on the box pull the power cable while holding the back up button ,after 10 seconds plug the power cable back in and continue to hold the back up button till all the lights come on and a message comes up on screen saying something like overair software download this may take up to 10 min
    and let go of the button then

    I'd a similar problem.
    Recorded Lord of the Rings on timer and didn't watch when we came home.
    Tried to look at it when it finished recording - no picture - just horizontal lines and it only recorded for 30 mins for some reason?

    Thought it was a one off. But recorded TV3 last night - recording is fine but noticed I can't view Channel 4, E4 or More 4 if I'm recording another channel. All other channels seem fine. But Channel 4 freezes and breaks up.

    One receiver has a stronger signal on the SIGNAL TEST. Its alot lower than the first signal.
    Do I have to get an Installer out from SKY?

    try a software down load like i said above and if the problem continues then call who ever installed your system

    Hi Slapper, did a software download.... slight improvement. I can now record a channel and still watch C4, E4, More4 but I can't record C4 by timer!
    The timer record play a broken blocky picture with no sound.

    If I want to record C4 I must turn to C4 then press the "R" key - very strange. Seems like I have a date with the SKY computer - 20min phonecall coming up.... :)
