So I am looking to buy a car, thinking of spending about 6,000 (but can be a bit flexible on this for the right car.) The cars that I am thinking about would be Audi A4, VW Passat, maybe a Ford Mondeo, or Skoda Octavia. I'm driving a 1.4 at the moment but I would be looking to go up to about 1.6-1.8. Any advice would be…

The best advice anyone can give you is to get out there and start test-driving all the options. You'd be surprised how many unforseen things you'll like/love/hate about different cars.
