I'm not too sure but I think with Dell you can spec for one at an added cost.

For Dell, Some of them do. Depends on the model. I have an XPS m1330 and it doesn't have one but the Inspiron 1525 does.

If it's listed as an optional extra on a particular model you'll get a USB external modem.

the vast majority do. some of the smaller models may not though. expect most 15"+ models to carry one. Otherwise check in the specs.

I bought a dell vostro recently and I had to get a diall up modem seperatley afterwards. It cost €45.
