I've tried google and no joy after an hour of trying various different searches.

I think I saw this film earlier in the year, [EDIT: IT'S THE MACHINIST!]:
some dude is haunted by something from his past but can't remember it, is an insomniac and is constantly driving around the streets. Turns out what's haunting him is that he ran a red light and killed a child.

Anyone know the movie i'm on about, please help as it's doing my head in.

Wikipedia plot outline says yes. Been ages since I've seen it, couldn't remember myself.

Spoiler tags / warnings etc in future please.
Have had this sitting on my shelf for ages and never watched it.
    Bit pointless now.

One of the best movies ever made. Method acting at it's finest. Up there with American History X and 25th Hour.

Impressive that his next movie was Batman Begins, were he put on nearly 7st.
