Getting a server for small business

A mate of mine has a small business and is thinking of buying a server. What sort of prices is he looking at? He really wants large central storage (1TB+) and the ability to log in remotely to his emails.

Anyone have any idea about original costs, setup costs and running costs?

A dell SBS server for a small business can be fairly cheap.

    Things to consider :

    1. RAID for fault tolerance
    2. Using Exchange when imap enabled gmail for your domain is a lot less risky in terms of DR, ease of admin and scaling.
    3. Growth .. SBS can be inefficient licence wise if the company were to grow quickly
    4. Tape backup for version control and DR.
