Well the easiest id say would be a suitcase of memories... because you could do memories from when your a child etc but its better not to do the one everyone else is doing and try to be original and stand out from the crowd but thats only my opinion you should do whichever one you like best And have ideas for :;)

You can basically do whatever the hell you like, so long as you can think of some way of relating it back to whatever the starting point is. My starting point was "Off the Beaten Track", and while most people in the class did fairies and things, I did mine entirely on Surrealism somehow, and got an A.

I'd say awakening nature would be cool, because you could do crazy things coming to life or metamorphosing (like plants turning into birds or something), but that's just the style that I like. : p

thanks thats a really good idea ill keep it in mind.. ive a class again tomorrow and had to bring in some ideas.. im thinking of jungle animals at the moment.. ill keep ye posted..

well its really called - when nature awakes... this is what im thinking of doing but im not so sure i might do mechanical parts instead because it has a bit more depth : /

When Nature Awakes is also cool... you could focus on dawn/dusk time, imagine that at dawn or whatnot weird cool stuff happens while the people are asleep. Like, the Dawn Chorus of birds, you could depict them as a symphony orchestra with wings, or whatever you wanted...

I think I'll be doing the mechanical parts for my project ...but I have one problem..can someone explain to me what is the art project all about..i mean what do you do when our making the project..i'm really confused..do you have to make 3d and 2d designs(sorry..my teacher did not explain it to us)??..i really need someone to explain it to me..and can you give me some ideas for the theme..

    TIA:D

basically for the project you have to do

    a 2d which is a painting/graphic design - which includes a stamp, bookcover, poster..

also have to do a 3d which you can make out of anything. clay and papermache are the most common that girls in my class are doing.

and finally you have a craft to make.. batik, lino, making a paper bag theres other options for carft aswel i cant remember though.

you have to do a studies sheet and prep sheet for each thing you make/draw.

i was thinking for my project doing a suitcase full of memorie and litterally making a suitcase of memories.
I was thinkin of paper macheing a box and making it look like an old fashioned suitcase with stickers of different countires visietd on the front.
For the painting/graphic design a leaflet for an old hotel visted/old record cover(fav band)/brochure for an old theatre..
and for the craft a batik picked up from on of the countries mentioned on the suitcase. each a memory.

    what do ye think..?

Its an alright idea but when i asked someone in my class what they were doing they said "a suitcase of memorie"s and had that same idea. And when i suggested the themes to a friend (not doing art) they said the same thing : / like i said its a good idea and thats my opinion do what you want

i changed my mind and am doing the nature one now its a similar idea on what someone posted earlier but not the exact same

I picked mechanical parts, I had the graphic design planned out but I'm starting to think that what I'm doing for preparatry etc. is too simple.

I was going to take it from a different angle and do it sort of on gadgets, like drawing the inside parts of my old phone on a magazine cover for graphic design. But I'm thinking drawing things like headphones, mp3 player, radios and all that stuff might be too easy or not detailed enough for the rest of the project.

Anyone have any thoughts? I don't want to leave it too late so I can't change. I'm doing higher, btw...

U could do human parts of the body(organs, muscles, brain etc.), u could draw the human organism as a machine or maybe do the animal parts :P
And a little tip, be ORIGINAL ;)

Umm how do you find a support studies that relates to a suitcase of memories? Thank you!
    -Darling Summers :)

Support studies are like things that inspired you/helped you with your piece, whatever you did. The main difference between them and prep work is that they're other people's art, generally. For example when I did my JC art I did my project on "Surrealism", so my support studies focused mainly on the work of Dali; had printouts of paintings he did that were similar to what I did, had some other surrealist works, that kind of thing.
It depends on what take you took on the starting point, though. For example, say your painting for some reason contains a load of tigers, your support studies could be photographs or paintings of tigers or other wild animals/cats.

I would guess that 90% of the people doing this option are doing a suitcase, and another majority of those again are going to put photographs in it.

If you've any intention of doing art for LC, obtaining some level of skill with... well, drawing/painting/etc is fairly useful.

I chose healthy options, its a easy on to choose I think.
Just find pictures of healthy food or people doing exercise.
You could draw fruit either. Theres always lots in magazines about healthy lifestyles and lots of course, on the internet.

I'm doin music for just around the corner (there's a buck lookin round the corner of a curtain onto a stage, I know campletely rare but anyway) I'm doing the second 3d model for the option. I'm making hands playing on piano keys. It's turning out well so far! I'm making a guitar for the main 3d model. If you wanted to do calligraphy you could do any song, the fact that it's a song ties it in.
