Can any one tell me what the word 'Preve' means when referring to Barolo?
Why are some Barolo's labeled 'Preve Barolo' and some just as 'Barolo'
Can't seem to find this information anywhere.

Googling around, "preve" seems to be a badge used by the Gianni Gagliardo winery. It means "provide" in Italian, I think.

mmmm.. Yes, I have a Gagliardo Preve Barolo and a Gagliardo Barolo.

I thought it meant something like 'grand cru' but it would seem to just be an in house term, alright.
