I've got a Blackberry and have been with o2 for about 5 months i think.
Now my workplace is going to provide me with a phone and i no longer need the Blackberry.
Can I get out of my contract with o2?
What do you think they'll say?

find out what your tariff is per month, multiply that by how long you have left in the contract= your cancellation fee

I know with 3 if you want to cancel after 6mts you can just drop down to the minimum price plan of €19pm so you termination fee would only be €114 at most...

But that's with 3 and your with 02 so i'd say OP is right, it'll be a big screw you Mr, bring the lube!:D

drnkn you can do the cancellation thing by dropping your tarrif with 02 as well but if you explaine that you have no coverage at home or work then they cant uphold their side of the contract and give you service therefore......

A quick look at the OP's bill will show that they do have coverage.

When you change your tarriff you'd automatically renew your contract for twelve months, so you'd have to work that out also. Call the customer care 1909 and discuss it with them.

They can check if you do have coverage you know....if that was the case nobody would ever be in contract

It could still work out cheaper, if he is on one of the higher tarriff's, say Active 250 & a Blackberry add-on then the OP will be paying roughly 70 euro a month, if he or she drops to Clear 20 and get's rid of the Blackberry add-on, it would cost 240 euro as opposed to 420 euro, it's just a case of working out the maths.

Note- those figures aren't exact but you get the idea.
