Will my ATM card/Debit Card/Credit card work abroad?

    To avoid a multitude of threads on this, the short answer is probably, yes. Check with your bank to be 100% sure and to confirm the cost involved (if any) Most publish it on their website, but you can always try the old fashioned approach...and telephone!

    If your card has a Cirrus/Maestro/Mastercard symbol it will work in any ATM with either/all of those logos on it.

    Maestro debit card functionality (i.e. paying for goods with the Maestro card) may not work everywhere, despite Maestro signs being displayed.

    If your card has a Plus/Visa logo it will work in any ATM with a Visa logo.

    Visa Debit cards should be accepted anywhere Visa credit cards are.

    Both systems have global ATM finders on their site.
