...just how good were they? They crafted some of the best electronic music ever, like Among Myselves. Though some of the later stuff like Far Out Sun of a Lung was pretty inaccesible and heavy going.

The recent 'Environments' CD is another excellent ambient release. Seemingly they did this in the early 90's but only released it this year.

The interviews are hilarious. They were a bit away with the fairies, or at least Cobain was. Clearly brilliant at their craft, but seems like they knew it too. Still, one of the legendary acts, I can remember the first time I heard Lifeforms EP - on cassette in a car travelling through West Cork on a sunny day.

Excellent interviews, cheers for them. I do actually like some of the more recent hippy stuff they did too as Amorphous Androgynous.

Haven't really heard much of AA's recent stuff, must check it out.

It's different but kinda grows on you... you'd never know it was them. Seems to be one of those love/hate things for many FSOL fans.

Yeah he seems a pretty full-on guy, the state of him in that AA interview! Wouldn't mind a pint though, just to listen to a few stories Definitely wouldn't share a spliff with him though!!!

Going to bump a thread that goes back a bit rather than start a new one.

I've been listening a lot to the 2nd & 3rd Environments albums from FSOL, they are really excellent. Any fan of FSOL of old should be sure to pick these up. A lot more diverse then their older material in that there is modern classical thrown in along with some very typical FSOL sounds. Environments 3 is certainly up there with the best albums of this year.
