Not sure if this is the right forum but anyway...

Have put some new .mp3 files on my mp3 player and it won't play them. I have other mp3's on it before and they play fine but these new ones won't. they definitely have .mp3 extension.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

check the bitrate of the mp3 file, it may be too high/low for your player.......

also how did you put the songs on it? Some devices (like a hi-fi) with the ability to transfer mp3 files to an mp3 player tend to put the tracks into a new folder per session and there is often a limitation on some mp3 players on reading a certain number of folders and it will just ignore the rest.

First hook it up to a PC to ensure all the files are there as expected and then see how many folders there are.

Of course this may not be the problem at all but it is a known problem with some players (I've seen it happen).
