Card soc / poker

Where is the card soc?! I have been in the last 2 days and havnt found it. Nobody seems to know where it is!! It must still exist as a society?!

That Society was huge, maybe it faded away.

I was looking forward to it this year. I never joined last year but this year i was gona make a big effort! Anyone know anything about why its not there??

Aye that they will. AFAIK the plan is to start them out small in the Soc room, and see how they go. If the demands there they'll get bigger.

Cardsoc were back up and running as of last night.

They met in Room 50 of the Atrium and will presumably be doing so every Monday as per last year.

Room 50 is upstairs in the Atrium. You can access it by going in past the indoor bank machine near the buttery and taking a sharp left in the main atrium and following the corridor right around and up the stairs. Alternatively, the door to that stairway is occasionally open and accessible from the passage that leads from the outdoor bank machine/graveyard towards the Laundry.

Usually you just a 5euro rebuy tournament on the Monday nights. Not sure for this year as I wasn't around yesterday evening (apparently they had free pizza!). I might pop in next Monday if I get a chance.

Membership and getting added to the mailing list should be possible when you're there, but generally being on the mailing list just means you get a reminder Monday lunchtime about that evening's meeting.
