Just was reading that Roy Jones has stated he intends to fight on into 2009 if he beats Calzaghe and is looking for a fight with either Tarver or Hopkins. If - and, yes it's a big if - Hopkins did manage to overcome Pavlik and Jones beat Calzaghe, a fight between Jones and Hopkins is one i would love to see.

Jones-Hopkins. Talk about the geriatric fight of the century.

I just cannot see what would be appealing about this.

It reminds me of the Stallone's and Ford's and Pacino's and DeNiro's
in the film world. They just can't turn down the money to
desperately attempt to play the action role. It's pathetic looking; hey, but
    it still sells big:rolleyes:

well, i feel they still have a bit of history and it would be interesting, at least from my perspective, to see which of them would win now

Id prefer to see Jones-Tarver 4. I think it goes without saying that the older guys in the division are going to keep fighting till the money and their bodies run out. Anyway Id rather see them fighting each other than wasting career time of the younger guys. eg Pavlik-Hopkins.

remember the third fight where Tarver taunts Jones by saying what's going to be his excuse this time. I don't think the outcome would be different if they fought for a fourth time.

    'any excuses tonight Roy ?'

Jones is a product of his environment, he is what he is because he was brought up that way. It's a big reason of why he was such a great fighter, it's a big reason why he's a bit of an ass.
