Bit of short notice, but it seems my box ordered from Wiggle is not going to arrive on time. I'd need the box tomorrow! Much appreciated if anyone does have one.

If you can collect, you can have mine.

Appreciate that Raam, may take you up on it if the box doesn't arrive tomorrow, am sure I can figure something out with a taxi, maybe cycle out to you and box up the bike, taxi back sort of thing.

You don't need no stinkin' bike box Blorg. Just swing down to Rosslare in the morning, grab the ferry and cycle from Le Harve to Bourg d'Oisans and meet the rest of the gang there in time for breakfast.

Oh, if yis are flying with Aer Lingus, watch out, they limit the bike+bag to 15kg, so you will need a check in bag for all your other kit.

That's what I have, so it will fold up and fit in a taxi with out having to put your bike in it first.

Is this a recent thing? I travelled last year with airlingus - bike+bag+tons of other gear added up to around 25Kg. Had no problems.

    Dunno how recent it is.
They never weighed me on the way out, but on the way back they did.

Hey, I ordered it almost two weeks ago now and they "Processed" last Tuesday; I've been having major problems with Wiggle being slow recently (and other stuff coming from Britain for that matter; CRC have remained fine.)

Might risk the bike naked- not sure about a soft bag TBH (I do appreciate the offer though!) I saw the baggage handlers being very careful with my tourer in France the other week.

Flying Ryanair who don't seem to have a weight restriction on sports equipment.

No worries. I wrapped the frame in bubble wrap before hand and slapped "fragile" tape all over the bag. The wheel bags also act as a bit of a cushion. The bike was fine. Let me know if you change your mind.
