I have been working for a company for the last few years with a rolling 1 year contract. This month they have informed me that they will not be renewing my contract.

Under the terms of my contract I am not entitled to any redundancy.

I work in a specialist field and it might be a while before I get a new contract elsewhere.

My question is; is it possible for me to claim back all/some of the tax I have paid this year and if so how long will I have to be unemployed for.
