Deodrant on flights abroad

What's the deal with bringing deodrant specifically like Lynx Spray Cans in your luggage bag that you check in? Don't know if you can or not so would just like to know now if possible to save hassle at the airport. Thanks.

They will apply the 100ml rule to them.

Although I have had aerosols that I'd forgotten about being in my bag not noticed by the scanners before, if they do notice then they will take them off you because it's "dangerous".

If it's in checked baggage (as distinct from cabin baggage, which I am sure what robinph had in mind when responding) there is no problem.

Oh yeah, missed the bit about checked baggage.

You can stick whatever you like in your checked in bag and they don't care, well other than guns or explosives.
