Hey guys, posting on behalf of someone who wants to go into business with a friend of his.

Am I right in assuming that this type of business will be registered as a partnership? If so, is this different from a Limited Partnership (assuming a 50/50 split in the ownership of the business)?

Thanks alot, but is the Partnership described in that artcile different to a Limited Partnership? The only reason I ask is that the CRO website makes provision for a Limited Partnership when it comes to registering...so are they the same thing?

No they are not the same.

Do not enter into a partnership arrangement without professional advice. In general they will advise you not to enter a partnership arrangement.

Some other arrangement (subcontracting sole contractors, limited company, etc.) is a much safer situation.
