Moving car to the UK

Hello,

I've moved (temporarily) to the UK and I'm thinking of bringing my car across. I've got 2 issues I need advice on:

1. How to go about de-registering in Ireland and registering in the UK. Will there be import duty or similar (the car's 10 years old)?

2. There's an unpaid (UK) parking ticket on the car from about 3 years ago. Do you reckon that'd cause much hassle?

You really should be asking these questions on a UK forum as they would have more knowledge on how it works across the Irish Sea.

But doing a bit of google engineering I came upon this info:

1) £55 registration fee. No import duty. Take the whole Registration Certificate to a DVLA local office.

2) Nah, shouldn't be a problem at all.
