    Hey all..

Hope someone can help me with this.

I'm looking for a cheap and cheerful something that I can plug a usb memory key into and play mp3's from it.
The player doesn't need any memory of its own but it has to work with any USB key..

Basically I'm going traveling to SE Asia pretty soon and I'm getting a 32GB flash drive for storing photo's ect, so I figure two birds one Key..
Plus my 160GB 605 is a little cumbersom and nickable for the backpacking lifestyle..

Maybe I'm just having a sunday moment but I cant find one of these anywhere online..

    Cheers.

It sounds like youre looking for a PMP player with a USB host function. They exist alright, google should throw up a few results. Im not sure if you'll find one that you like in terms of price and size though.

It might be handier to look at it from the opposite perspective. Most media players can happily store files (photos etc) in exactly the same way as a USB stick. So just buy a small 16 or 32Gb media player?

If all you want is a cheap 'disposable' player which will take either
memory card or USB you can easily find something on Dealextreme.

If you want something more reliable look at a small capacity player from
one of the more reputable manufacturers - but it'll cost more.
