Sky Magic Eye

I'm having a problem with a sky magic eye.

When I plug the magic eye in upstairs I get the picture but can't change channels, the red light doesn't come on.

I have checked the installer menu and the power output is 100% on.

I also connected the magic eye directly to the RF output on the sky + box and the red light comes on so I know the magic eye is working and the power output is switched on.

I have installed a few of these before and never had a problem, Anyone have any ideas?

You have a problem with the cable or connections.

you could be using the wrong wall plate behind your telly upstairs.
I had this issue - easy to sort.

What kinds of connections and wall plates should I be using?

Perhaps it would be easier if you tell us what you have installed, if you are using a wallplate it must be a non isolated type.
