Nights Out for Teenagers

Just thought I'd throw this out here and get some thoughts...

Basically I'm 17, living in Dublin. My question is is there anywhere for people my age to go out at night? We're kind of past the underage disco stages, but I don't think my parents would be happy with me going into clubs in town. I know that doesn't leave much, but I love getting dressed up and going out with my friends and I'm sick of staying in! I don't drink, but being around people who do doesn't really bother me.

    Any suggestions?

Bowling.. cinema... house parties... poker nights...

17 is the age of the field.. well, was for me anyway haha.

Clubs are **** and you'll be bored of them within months of being legal.

17 is a ****e age to be alright...too old for fields and teen discos and if you're in 6th year loads of your friends will be turning 18 and going out without you. If you don't look old enough to get away with having no ID your best bet is houseparties.

uhhhhhh worst age of my life!!! hated it for the same reasons... too old for teenage discos and too young for clubs!!

i just had to wait til i was 18 and able to get into clubs without trying to scam my way in :D:D:D

just geta fake id, only reason 17 was great for me
and my id was fairly dodgy(done on paint and glued onto a school swipe card)
    but it worked everywhere suprisingly!

Official Boards.ie answer - Do not get a fake ID!
Manfist, please don't suggest illegal activities even if you're only messin'.

OP, are there late night cafe's or similar in your area? You can also search this and Dublin forum for suggestions, good luck.

Go to some of the bars that let ANYONE in, especially if as a girl you dress in a certain way. I dont think i need to explain that.
Eamonn Dorans in Temple bar and Reds on the end of o'connell street are very safe bets. Good at 17 but sh**e otherwise.
