Varicole

Hi. I have a varicocele in my my left testicle. I'm 23 years old. I went to the doctor about it 2 years ago, but he didn't even look at it and said that they're not to worry about. Obviously I am worried, as my testicles are always quite hot if I'm standing or sitting down. I'm worried that it is affecting testosterone levels, fertility or God knows what. I looke up on the internet about a procedure that can be done called an embolization. The nearest listing for a doctor who does it was in Birmingham, and I emailed him asking. He said it costs about €3000 and there's also the possibility that it can reoccur. He also said that you can get it done for free through the NHS. Has anyone any help to offer me in this area? Do you think if it's free for the NHS in UK, there's someway of doing it for free in Ireland?

First thing would be go to another doctor here, a different one that will treat it as a serious thing. Possibly ask to be referred to a specialist.
