Anyone been on any good weekenders lately, lads are a bit short of ideas. Were family lads and all into motor sports/golf/footie/outdoor stuff and of course beer. Somewhere not to far 2 - 3 hrs drive etc from Dub. Going next weekend.. any ideas fellows..

Warrenpoint is a great little town for a weekend, and it's about 75 minutes from Dublin. Nice drives around the Mournes (great hill-walking too, obviously!). Don't know about golf, but there must be something in the general area. The Marine is a great pub, free juke box too - they usually have a set low price for all drinks.

Went to Aran Islands, had great craic, plenty of tourist talent to look at.

Get yourselves a pair of wellies and get over to Wales. There are some great places to drive, some great walks and some great drinking spots (as long as your not looking for a place full of young women).

If all else fails, there's always the Ewes:eek::D

Wales, anywhere in particular. Never been over apart from day trips to hollyhead.

Betws-y-coed is a good base, handy if you fancy a stroll up Snowdon via the Pig Track, or you could go to one of the beach resorts on the north coast which should have a bit more evening life if you want more than just a pub.
