    hi all,

I was out in Howth last Saturday and just caught the sunset. I was using my digial camera, Canon Powershot A720 IS. I have never taken any sunset pictues before however I know they can be greatly improved, but still waigin for the D-SLR at Christmas!!

You can probably improve them a bit in something like lightroom, which is a brilliant program, even if I am only getting to grips with it myself.

I like no. 1, but if you could crop out some of the sea, and some of the sky, i.e. top and bottom, I think it would improve it.

I don't think you did anything wrong, but the subject is not interesting - I don't think there is a great photograph to be made by pointing any camera at that landscape at that time of day. So, you did not do anything wrong technically :-)
