went to thomand park earlier tonight to watch munster v's ulster under 20's. it was the first game in the totally revamped stadium. the game was a very dull affair munster edgeing it by a score line of 3-0.
but the stadium was absolutely fabulous and even with a small crowd it had a good atmosphere
so excited was i by the thought of seeing this on match day with a full house i bought 2 magners league season tickets as soon as i came home
    wooo hoooo

:) Great to hear you bought into the season tickets as a result.

I think Thomond will be a massive pulling point for Munster (amongst the vast amount of pulling power they have already).

It's true that facilities make the world of difference. Just 2 years ago when Leinster were playing in a rickety old Donnybrook and a shakey old Lansdowne for "big games", it would have been unthinkable of the situation we have now, of the great average attendance, the facilities in RDS (although room for improvement - particularly in the area of toilets) and the players themselves have talked about how amazed they are by it and the difference it has made.

The RDS was a master stroke by Leinster Rugby - Thomond Park will bring Munster Rugby to a whole new level.

(which is also why Connacht badly need to find a new arrangement - they are the only province with no major investment in playing facilities over the past couple of years - Leinster have had 2, Munster 2, Ulster 1)
