How do you download Itunes to 64 bit Windows XP?

I'm not too sure if this is in the right forum!

My boyfriend recently got a 2nd hand Iphone - it didnt come with the installation CD or anything.

We tried to download ITunes onto our PC. We have Windows XP 64 bit and each time we download ITunes the installer downloads but each time we go to open it it says we have to use the 32 bit one and the only 64 bit one available is for Vista!

Is there any way around this at all? We're not very teccy minded so if you know of a way, can you put it as simply as poss?!?!

Apple doesn't play nice with 64-bit XP.

Read the system requirements, Vista is the only supported 64 bit OS.
