Check out www.volunteerfingal.ie for ideas, they also include drop downs for animal-related volunteer vacancies. Also, if you sign up, you can email/call them and let them know what you are looking to do and they will help to find you somewhere. It's a very good resource.

Ashton Pound and Dogs in distress are always looking for help with dogs. They always need people for dogwalking, cleaning, transport and re homing dogs. Look up www.dogsindistress.org. Good luck

    Hi Wex Pat Girl

As the previous boarder said Last Hope Animal charity are based in Navan. As far as I am aware they don't have premises (this may have changed and I am not aware of it) , but they ask for fundraisers, assistance with fostering animals, rehoming, and used to ask for donations of dog food which you could leave in with the vet based on or near flower hill.

Of course there is also the ISPCA, who I believe are based midlands which may not suit you for giving practical assistance but have an excellent website and room for fundraising etc. There is an animal sanctuary at collon which isn't too far from navan and slane, whether they have volunteers I am not too sure but you could enquire. Hope that helps!:)

I am starting voluntary work there this week at kitten cottage to look after the kittens since i'm being let go thought i could do something i like for once. Also the dog pound in meath and dundalk.
