I enquired about this last year, but decided not to sign up in the end. With the weather we've had, that decision was a good 'un I reckon, having got out less than 10 times since May.
Anyway, got a call from them last night saying they're offering membership for next year at the same rate as this year, and that membership will run from the day you join up to the end of '09. So basically getting 15 months membership for the price of 12. Good deal if anyone's interested...

I wouldnt say its next to Dublin airport to be honest. Its closer to Blanchardstown/Rathoath than the airport....

Not a bad deal on the membership.

First thing first, yes a nice course, so much so I availed of a membership package there.

Secondly, by god is it a busy course, you wont understand the extent till you start playing there.

The only other thing is apart from Elm Green, there isn’t any other reasonable golf courses in the North West part of Dublin, so if your located in this area you’re a bit stuck, castleknock in another gear up but that sets you back around 3 grand a year which given the amount of rain we get I just cant justify. Well that my opinion anyway.

All in all, decent deal, just get ready for long 5 hour rounds, gets very wet, BUT a nice course, dont want to sound too negative!

To someone from portarlington it's surely a good enough pointer...

I'm a member in Hollystown the last year or so and it can get very busy on a Saturday but if, like me, you prefer to tee off around 10:00 most mornings it's not too bad, plus the fact that it has the 36 holes is a great advantage, the ranger can usually get you out if your in a rush.

I've always found the staff really helpful with getting a round in and for that membership price it's well worth it.

Good pro there too with a decent driving range, practice greens and practice holes.
