Looking for something good to replace our craptastic dvd recorder, a reliable easy to use dvr that will take digital input, doubt its possible but if there is one that could act as a wireless router that would be super aswell :pac::D

    trying to lose some boxes

Honestly, just get the UPC DVR unless writing to DVD is an essential requirement. I have a standalone DVR and the UPC one and I rarely use the standalone mainly due to messing with timers. My standalone DVR cannot change to a specific UPC digital channel at a given time so before I got the UPC DVR I needed to set timers on both boxes which went wrong on a few occasions.

Does the UPC DVR have HDMI out? Not necessarily the ability to view/record HD, just the output?

If not, is there one (other than Sky+) that does?
