Sea Angling Ireland used to have a fly fishing forum, does anyone know if its gone?

anyone know if Irish Angler has a forum, i can't find it.

anyone know what the three best forums on FLY fishing are for Ireland, i mean ones that have a core group use?

mind if i ask, what the three best are for the UK?

basically are there any forums out there for rivers in Ireland that rock like Sea Angling Ireland does for that larger body of water?

    thanks for your time.

Sea Angling Ireland is now here:
    http://www.sea-angling-ireland.org/bulletin%20board/index.php
The game angling branch (link given in earier post) is a relatively inactive forum.
... anyone know what the three best forums on FLY fishing ....
If you mean wild trout lough fishing this one is good, mainly Scottish and Irish lough anglers ... some river too.
    http://www.wild-fishing-scotland.co.uk/smf/index.php
... what the three best are for the UK?....
This one is rather more English, also with a few Irish and N.Irish :
http://www.flyforums.co.uk/ I wouldn't be bothered with it myself.

Just gotta ask .... if you read all those forums ... when will you get time for fishing? ;)

Also, there might not be a great number of fishing threads here on boards, but there are experienced contributors here and that is worth it's weight in gold! An interesting question will get answered pretty quickly, and the answers are high on content, and low on bs.
Just don't expect the guys who (know how to catch) to fall over themselves answering things like "where do I go to catch a bunch of big fish?" If you see an answer to that, it is from a learner (who still has one big lesson to learn). We offer other kinds of help.

Also there is a wealth of information outside forums.
    Like this excellent one:
http://www.shannon-fishery-board.ie/guides/game/archived-reports.htm DECIDE: "IS THIS AN EARLY OR LATE YEAR SEASONALLY SPEAKING" AND THEN LOOK BACK IN TIME TO SEE THE FUTURE. Pure gold! :D
And now you have that, you can go to the other RFBs for their versions of same.

    Hope this helps.

and you're right Coolwings, i read way too much and fish way too little. :(

I think that applies to every serious angler. :)

There are only two regularly contributing irish guys on the wild fishing forum and im one of them:)
Great forum for the wild trout angler. Access to the good stuff(reports, location discussions etc) are restricted to known and trusted members and rightly so to twart the fishmongers. The admin runs a tight ship and if you dont agree with his way of running things you can just lump it which can be infuriating but hey it is his forum.
Im a regular on flyforums also and i love it. There is a fair few knobs on there but a lot more good guys. It must be the busiest fly fishing forum around these parts. Great place for tackle bargains:)
I too spend way two much time reading about fishing and not enough putting all the knowledge into practice. Saving a fortune on mags though since i have discovered the forums.

I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it, but that applies to me as well. It must be tough times for the paper magazines.

still can't get my head around the fact that Irish Angler don't have a forum, I think I'll ring them tomorrow and ask what the story is.

probably because quite a few of the people who write for the irish angler are registered with sea-angling-ireland forum

http://fishingtalkireland.com/forum/index.php is another one I've been reading a bit of. They're associated with http://irish-angler.com/ which is apprantly nothing to do with Irish Angler the magazine.

This is an interesting integration of magazine copy supported online. This has one of the most active communities - and some notable and memorable names feature on the boards.

Writers and editors on the boards too.....

Gentlemen. Too many forums and too few fish!!!!!!!!!!

A bit off topic but reminds me of this poem

Fishing, if I a fisher may protest,
Of pleasures is the sweet'st, of sports the best,
    Of exercises the most excellent.
    Of recreations the most innocent.
But now the sport is marde, and wottye why?
    Fishes decrease, and fishers multiply
