This is a good match up for Haye; Barrett has been in with some decent guys. It should be interesting

I thought he would have gone down the journey man route may to start off, I think we can all say Barrett is better than a journey man.

    Should be good

Agree, he's just the right opponent.
    Could be an interesting matchup.

Would have been interesting to see what Hero of College thought :)

Surely with his well documented IT prowess we'll soon hear exactly what he thinks of this match up:D

I'm slightly disappointed with this to be honest, Barrett has shown by losing to Couser that he's past his best and although still dangerous I think he's made to order for Haye. However a lot of opponents have pulled out on Haye, one of those was JD though and Barrett is certainly a much better test than him.

Barrett is ranked 9th by the WBO and 24th by the WBC.
Haye is #3 with the WBO, #5 with the WBC.
The winner of this will obviously enough move up the rankings(probably significantly if it's Barrett) and will enter the WBA and IBF's top 15.

The IBO who has computerised rankings(and imo the best independent rankings) have Haye at #8 and Barrett at #25. That seems about right to me and this is a better fight than Haye than Matt Skelton would of been(Warren offered Skelton to Haye and criticised Haye repeatedly when he refused).

I reckon Haye will take him out early, and Barrett will subsequently retire. Barrett will be well paid for this, he'll come for more than just the money though. A win here would probably get him a World title fight so he'll give it his best. However he's not a top 10 fighter anymore and just won't be up to the task.

    Haye tko 2.

I think this is as good an opponent as haye could have hoped for at the minute and Barrett is a legit enough test for Haye to cut his teeth on. Take into consideration that this is only hayes second fight at heavyweight and Barrett can bang so it will show us if the chat about hayes chin being weak etc is true or not.
