First I would like to warn people thinking about doing a studio shoot, dont, its like a drug and you will end up wanting to do it again and again!

Bought a Mag called Digital Photo and was an excellant tutorial on Triptych's (Tripti?), would like comments on the one below!

I like it, if I was being totally crictical though I'd wouldn't have cropped out her arm tattoos. My eyes are drawn to them - especially the tattoo on her right arm in the left most picture.

One word for you ... BOOBS!!!

Seriously though, very nice image. Looks really good with the black and red borders, really enhances waht u were going for with the pictures i think. On ehting i would say about it, not that i have any experience myself of making them, but i think that having 3 pictures taken of the same object/person/thing at the same angle doesnt make the most this type of "Triptych" shot. Maybe if you had pictures taken from different perspectives or having her facing different directions (charlies angels style - one looking left with a pose, one straight on with another pose, and one facing to the right with another) would work really well.

Im interested in learning how to do these type of "Triptych's" too. Any info on how you made it.

I was thinking the poses were a bit too similiar too. Also, she seem to be a bit larger in the frame in the second shot, like you were after zooming in a bit. Other than that I like them a lot...

If I had the time with her under lights again I would ask her to do the poses you mentioned or a few more I had in mind, we only had a few minutes with her and with 10 people waiting for their go the pressure was on!

Will try and scan pages from mag and will mail them to you if you pm me your addy!

    Dodgykeeper,

the quality of the photographs from a technical point of view is outstanding. I would, however, arrange things slightly differently from a presentation point of view. I hope you don't mind these suggestions:

    Let's assume your arrangement is l-r 1 2 3. I would have arranged them 2 3 1

The other thing which I would have done - and I hope I can describe this in words -

    1) leave a slightly bigger gap between each of the shots positionally

    2) have less black space top and bottom.

Other than that I really like the red framing.

I hear you about the sequence!

The positioning was dictated by following the tutorial from the mag, its time to experiment with different configurations.

Is studio shooting all kinda angled towards...well, sexualisation of the subject?

    I hope so!

    :D

Just to be clear, your shots are great, it's just any time I've seen shots taken by someone in a studio they've all been of a certain provocative leaning. Nice work though.

The shots are very good and I am an eyes person myself ;););) :P

I agree that the shots are too similar so add variety to the series to make it worthwhile.

Well done for having a go and keep doing it too :D

I like 2/3 but 1 is too 'scrunched' or something. Also ditto on the tatoos. However if they were edited out alltogether it would only leave red, white and skin colour (along with a little sparkle from the st johns cross thing)

Great shots, I like the lighting and the limit on colours gives impact.

I'd probably go 3,1,2 for the following subtext:
3 - surprised to catch you looking
    1 - watch it you
2 - still a bit miffed but maybe open to possibilities
