Afternoon of the in between

Snoozing through the morning hours
My life blood drips and drips

To think I might or could have been
Or done become or tested what
Instead I snooze the in between

Another day has drifted past
Now I know why I can't see
My head's stuck in a cast
Such a strain to drift on through
Would it be diff'rent if I tried
