Doesn't look to have any different features from the regular PRS guitars, but my, what an eye-catcher!

Beautiful guitar for an absolutely amazing player!

Its a gas colour scheme, I think it looks great though, very eye-catching. And they've done a great job blending all the different colours, i'd say it takes quite a bit of time for each one.

Here's another new PRS, the Starla:
    Starla.jpg

WTF, it looks like a horrible mish-mash of random guitars and parts. Terrible

It looks like it should have a Gretsch headstock. Stupid PRS, what were you thinking?!

I don't particularly like PRS's but I do like the Starla. Looks like a solid heavy guitar. Now aint that wierd! :pac:

Here's another new PRS, its called the 'Chesapeake Severn'...Chesapeake is some sort of offshoot brand, related to the new factory they're opening.

    prs-chesa-web-460-100-460-70.jpg

Its completely stupid looking (imo), the headstock looks like a ridiculous rip-off of a 70s strat and the style doesnt match the body at all. Its way too busy - exactly like the Starla above, it just looks like a crappy mish-mash of different guitars and ideas. Looks like PRS have run out of ideas..

PRS Customs have not changed their design since day 1, back in 1986. That says a lot for the PRS company......top quality....

They certainly seem to be taking a few wrong turns there on the design front.
I like the look of this PRS:-

It's pretty subtle but still cool. In fact, its like the PRS equivalent of Dr J's Duke.

Yeah, thats nice. I think the Custom shape is pretty elegant, and there's not much to dislike about the Singlecut, its got good contours.

But these last few 'original designs' are awful (imo). I mean, look at that thing above, its all over the shop. I see a tele-style bridge, Strat headstock, two different body shapes stuck on top of each other, crappy looking pickguard....

Don't judge a book by it's cover Voodoo......what does it feel or sound like man. It could be jem to play.....then again, it could be bollox.....;)

Usually the people that slag off prs guitars are the ones who have'nt tried them. In my opinion they p*ss all over every other major guitar make in the world. I gig one every weekend and I would'nt even consider anything else now. The Di Meola sig is a great guitar although I'm not convinced about the cheasapeake range though. That range is not designed by paul reed smith but by joe knaggs who is the head of the private stock department. He did design the mira though which is a wonderful guitar by all accounts!

I think there are very few people left who haven't at least played one. Thankfully, everybody has their own opinion on them, otherwise this place would get a bit dull if it was all OMG OMG OMG OMG :)

I disagree with you there, I doubt if people have played any of the usa prs guitars to any extent. By that I mean most people have played an SE model in a shop for 2 minutes through a fizzy practise amp! Whenever I saw them in musician and musicmaker they never let me try them out. I suppose you have to show them your bank account details before they let you try them! I hope xmusic gets them in and let people try them out.
I do agree with you about people gonig omg about pictures of guitars. I get a bit tired of seeing that on the prs forums!

Ironically, I actually prefer the CE models. The USA models just don't do anything for me.

They're nice alright. They have more of a workhorse/jobbing guitar feel to them I think.

design and build quality: spot on (i'd imagine, they normally are. just havent seen one of these in the rainbow coloured flesh)
colour choice: one step from a "hello kitty" pink strat
