Footpaths round a house...

...have been in the house a couple of years and need to sort out the footpaths. See those dimpled concrete ones everywhere. How much do they cost compared to cobblelock? Not sure latter is appropriate, house is about a mile from a town so might be a bit 'fancy' for rural area. And is there any other option? Was thinking of simply laying flagstones but then again that might look at bit odd.

I put in concrete footpaths all the way round my house 150' long x 4' wide x 4" deep .It took 8 metres of readymix which cost 700 euro plus 1200 euro labour - not cheap but its a good job so I'm happy.

Hi, Cobbleblock is nice around house we lay and supply for around €45 per square meter dependant on level of dig out, we also can lay tarmac, concrete etc. The price quoted for concrete previously is about right. If you need drainage make sure you place it before finished as will stop water lodging. Good luck

We have a washed gravel drive and put a nice Granite kerb around the house (1.3 mtr away) and put gravel down on the path. IMHO it looks ten times better with the kerb and worked out a bit cheaper. If done properly weeds will not be a problem and the gravel will not go green in shaded areas, like concrete. Each to their on though . . .
