IRB Player of the Year nominees. Anyone have any opinions?

    Dan Carter
    Mike Blair

    Due to Blair and Jones making it (in my opinion undeserved), George Smith (Super 14 Player of the Year 2008) and Richie McCaw (the out and out bets player this year) were omitted.

    I know Jones won the Six Nations and the Anglo-Welsh cup but captain Richie McCaw spearheaded Crusaders to Super 14 glory yet again and lead a significantly weakened All Blacks to yet another tri nations victory.

    Poor form selectors, poor form!
