Hi my friend was saying that there bringing out a Blu-Ray drive(an external one, and one to be incorporated into new X-Boxs) for the 360. I am convinced Sony would never do this. If anyone can answer this question it would settle our dispute!

    1. Sony already have a blu-ray player in there ps3s(since day 1)

    2. It has been confirmed by Microsoft there will be no blu-ray player addons or blu-ray xboxs.

I'd imagine that, given the only reason many people buy a PS3 is the Blu Ray player, Sony's price for MS to put a Blu Ray on the 360 is unreasonably high and that's why we haven't seen it. Sony are (shock!) out to make money. If Microsoft were willing to pay whatever it is Sony want for the rights to add a Blu Ray player onto the 360, I'm sure Sony would endorse it. After all, Sony have MS' operating system running on their Vaio notebooks, it's not like they're mortal enemies!

I'm not sure that people are stil getting a ps3 just for bluray anymore.Remember a ps3 is still 400e. One can now get a standalone sony)Or samsung or sharp for that matter) bluray player for little more than 200e.Thats about half as much as a ps3.Bluray players are falling hugely in price and i can see them getting a lot cheaper still

TVersity is a great programme alright. I should mention Connect 360 for mac users. Unfortunately, it doesn't support web content yet.

I Highly doubt that there will be a bluray player brought out for the 360, but I would imagine that the next xbox will have one. remember that MS are agressivly ramping the release timetable for next gen consoles, the next xbox could be with us in 2 years time

I havent seen a standalone at that price? Cheapest I saw was 350e here, and they wouldnt be software upgradeable, so I bought a ps3, purely for blu-ray.....
