Solar/Boiler setup advice in garage

Hope i can get some good suggestions for this.

The basic setup is as follows.
Woodchip boiler with 500 liter buffer tank in the garage to supply ufh in the house. The garage will be about 15m away from the house(i know distance is an issue but that's where has to go).
The garage is also the only building with a South facing aspect so the solar was to go on the roof of it.
The supplier is saying i'll need 5 panels for the garage as they have to heat the larger buffer tank as opposed to dhw tank.

This setup also has to supply a self contained flat beside the garage with hot water and underfloor.

I planned to run that district piping between house and garage.
The buffer tank would supply a hot water tank in the house for dhw.
The buffer tank should be close enough to the flat to supply it directly.

So i suppose my main problem is this five panel recommendation.

If anyone has better solutions/ideas for the whole setup i'd be very grateful.

    Thanks,

    C.
