Founded after a number of drunken discussions and attendance of a number of large musica festivals, such as ****** and Glastonbury, the three DJ's collaborated. Each DJ has his own alias. The act was nominated for Best House DJs at the 2006 World Urban Music Awards, Best Live Performance at the 2007 Northern Ireland Dance Music Awards and have a DJ residency at Ireland's brand new superclub “515 @ Tripod” in Dublin, GPO in Galway, "Yello" in Belfast, Excentric Ibiza and Guest Residents at Excentric UK.
The Japanese Popstars have been tipped for the ones to watch by major administrators in the music industry and Mixmag have also stated that they are "Currently Causing A Stir In The World Of Electro".
