Immortal Technique is a revolutionary, intense rapper, battle champion and underground legend, having shifted 135,000 units to date without a major label. Rejecting offers to sign with both Eminem and Jay-Z, he decided to stick to his principles and go it alone, to much success and critical acclaim. Authentic and controversial, this Peruvian native raised in Harlem, NYC has toured the world , gracing publications like The Source, XXL, The Washington Post and URB magazine. On the way he has worked with such artists as Mos Def and DJ Green Lantern and been remixed by Chuck D and KRS-One.

Featuring lyrics lived and seen through his eyes, this young but seasoned veteran gives no quarter and tells it like it is. New album ''The 3rd World'' was released on June 24th, featuring eponymous track ''The 3rd World'' and tracks ''Reverse Pimpology'' and ''Apocalypse RMX'' featuring Mojo and Diabolic Ras Kass respectively. This mix of street hip hop and the vivid landscapes of global struggle proves that world politics and musical politics are almost one and the same. Immortal Technique's striking lyrics jump out from an even more street influenced production that occasionally fortifies him to show his bilingual versatility on the mic. We can also expect tracks from his incendiary "Revolutionary" Vols.1 & 2 such as the radical "The Cause of Death" and "Bin Laden'" which have served to cement his reputation as a "socialist guerrilla".

As http://www.LatinRapper.com would have it, ''when an artist or group distance themselves from the standard rap formula, when they set out to make real music and are unwilling to compromise their integrity for the sake of making a dollar, it's time to listen''. This is going to be an unmissable gig from this thoughtful, passionate and principled artist. Keep it real and join us at Andrew's Lane Theatre to see Immortal Technique bring his sharp, incisive political commentary to the mic. Dublin's own Infomatics will be opening the show, mashing up hip hop, electronica, soul, jazz and reggae in their own inimitable style. Admission €20, doors 8pm.
