    Folks

If this post is breaking the rules, please delete and my apologies.

I am not trying to break the law here, I am simply wondering if you can avail of the 4 basic Irish channels on a deactivated UPC install?

The setup is as follows (its basically the previous tennants deactivated install)
Galway. MMDS (UPC Parabolic ariel) coming into ac/dc thing and then into UPC DVR.

Not through the PVR if it is disabled. It is illegal to use UPC equipment that is not in your name.

You might be able to tune them in via analogue but the cable may be disconnected. I don't think you're allowed get any channels on cable if you're not subscribed.

You can't get analogue MMDS without those gammy old Jerrold boxes.

connect the RF loop out of the digital box to the TV aerial input, I think you will be able to tune in an unscrambled TV3 alright (but not RTE1,2,TG4 - these were never carried on analogue MMDS anywhere)

However Galway was NTL, not Chorus, and they discontinued analogue I think
