Laptop on monthly payments

    Hi all, a friend is looking to get a new laptop and has a budget of around €30 a month (obviously she hasnt the money for gettin it straight out) and i was wondering who does laptops on hp or whatever or where has been good in fellow boardsies opinions?

    Can she not get a bank loan for the amount. Interest rates from her bank would probably work out that bit better and would leave her free to choose from numerous different shops and online retailers.

    Thanks for the reply ac, i said that to her and she said she is payin back 2 loans at the min hence lookin for a monthly option and she is lookin to get it now rather then save as she is lost without the net

    Well paying on a finance option instore would be a loan too. PC World have an interest free 12 month option but there is a catch. It's actually a 48 month plan at around 29% but if you pay the total amount before the year is up you don't pay any interest. You have to be in full time employment to get finance from them though. Harvey Normans do a finance option as well but I don't know anything about that.

    You could ask her to try the sony centre. If you pay a deposit of more than 10% up front you can get the laptop over 1 or 2 years with little or no interest.
