using wind eneergy to heat storage heaters solely

Myself and my neighbour were talking about renewable energy solutions and the subject of using wind to charge storage heaters came up.As most of the energy we use in the home is for heating, would it make sense to forget about linking the turbine up to try to power the whole house and just have it only power storage heaters. At first thought it makes sense,as if you go with full house power, then there will be times in the summer when there is little or no wind,so it would probably be best to take the normal electricity demand from the national grid. But on the other hand we normally only need heat in the winter and we usually have loads of wind in the winter (especially here on the north west coast). So my quetions are.

    1. Has anyone ever heard of a system like this (would it work)?
    2. Would it make finacial sense?
    3. What size turbine would be needed (cost)?
    4. Anything I am not taking into account?

    Thanks.

1.) I have heard about it.2.) No.3.) Ask the various installers/sellers and get that in writing. A wrong answer to that question will make them accountable for a lifetime. So you won't get that in writing and signed by the same person as who is also selling the turbine/system.4.) Have you compared the costs of insulating your home versus heating it?

Thanks Heinbloed. I am not actually thinking about installing it in my house. We were talking about it as an idea,as we know that lack of wind can be a problem and thought that using wind for heating only may be the way to go.
