I am just off the phone to apple about a hard drive issue with my MBP and I was told to contact the repair provider directly to have the hard drive replaced...I was under the impression that if you have applecare that apple should arrange the collection and delivery of the notebook for you?

It doesn't seem right that the customer should have to chase a seperate provider? I was asked do I know any service providers in my area and I mentioned Dectek. Are they reliable?

It's ok I think. I rang Apple back to ask if I could go through them and they said yes. I got an appology for not being given the option for Apple to collect from me and have the process done through them. So all is ok :D

I'm going through Dectek directly anyway and the lappy is being collected tonight. I'll see how it goes with them and will report back on my experience.
